Transport & Storing
✈️Artworks are most vulnerable to damage when they are being moved, even over short distances. Once you have safely packed or crated your artwork, you need to ensure that they are transported through the right medium to reduce the risk of damage or loss during transit.
🏡As soon as artworks reach their final destination, they will either be on display or in storage. Should they be in storage, you need to pay attention to the temperature, humidity, and amount of light that will reach the artworks before storing them.
🌍We're here to guide you on the best ways to transport and store your art reducing risks of loss or damage.
PS: good storage conditions might reduce your insurance premium.
Packing & Crating
🎁Transporting artworks from one place to another, whether it is from one residence you own to another or being on loan to a gallery makes them vulnerable to damage. Damage can be due to rough or handling at any point during transit, bad weather or inadequate storage.
🚚You can not predict what damage might occur, but you sure can prevent most accidents of happening by choosing adequate packing and crating methods. We guide you on how to choose the most suitable packing/crating depending on your artwork, method of transport and destination.
📦We also provide tailor made wooden crates and packages made explicitly for transporting your artworks to ensure they arrive at their destination damage free. The crates are properly reinforced to facilitate the journey whether traveling via land, air, or sea freight.
PS: inadequate packing is never covered under an insurance policy!
Appraisals & Valuations
💸We know that your art is priceless, but if you want to insure it, you will be asked for a valuation report of what the piece is worth at the time of underwriting. You will also be asked for regular valuations as time goes by to ensure the whole worth of your piece is covered.
💰You might also be interested in knowing the worth of artworks you’ve inherited, which would be done by an Art Appraiser who will be an expert in the field.
🏷️We work with some of the best art appraisers and valuators in the world to get you the closest to an accurate value of your pieces.
